Steve began performing at the age of 3 and has developed into an exceptionally diverse musician. He is renowned for his energetic performances and creatively engaging musical interpretations.

International touring experience with groups including Tetrafide Percussion and the Black Swan Theatre Company has seen him perform in the UK, Japan, the Phillipines and throughout Europe at events including The World Expo, the Rhythm Sticks Festival and the Purcell Room in London. He has toured throughout Australia with various outfits.

As composer Steve has written several pieces of music for Tetrafide Percussion, and mr. sister. He has also been commissioned to write both solo and percussion ensemble pieces. Steve is currently commissioned by Michelle Locke of Wu Tao, the Dancing Way to produce music to various dances she has choreographed reflecting the elements of nature. He has performed with the Australian Shakespeare Company (A Midsummer’ Nights Dream), Synergy, Zoltan Racz, Christine Anu, Yothu Yindi, Eskimo Joe, Greg Sheehan, WASO, The Boy from Oz Company and Fritz Hauser to name but a few.

In the studio, Steve has produced or co-produced on a number of albums including Taal Naan's Rhythm Bred, Mr Sister's Unravelling and Empty Places, Tetrafide Percussion's self titled, the Sabroson EP and Wu Tao -the Dancing Ways Dancing the Elements. As a session musician, he has also added his unique flavour to a number of albums. Holding a Bachelor of Music from WA Academy of Performing Arts, Steve performs regularly as drummer and percussionist with leading groups wood, Sabroson (latin big band) and Taal Naan (world fusion). He forms half of the mr. sister duo with Mel Robinson playing electronic percussion, keyboard, singing and songwriting. 2008 saw the release of mr. sisters debut album.

As an educator, Steve has devised and delivered workshops for the Royal College of Music (London) and Artsedge. He has performed at literally hundreds of schools throughout Australia through the Musica Viva in Schools program. He has also worked in indigenous Australia, being a part of last years’ Garma  festival and giving workshops in remote communities. As a member of Tetrafide Percussion, he was also artist in residence at WA Academy of Performing Arts, 2006-07.
